The Selsdon Little League Seniors division is great for children of all abilities in school years 7, 8 and 9. Here they get the opportunity to play competitive football in a safe and friendly environment that promotes fair-play and fun hand-in-hand with healthy competition. We truly are focused on the development of the player (socially, technically, physically and psychologically) and do not value the all too common ‘win at all costs’ mentality.

​After registering players will be allocated to a squad of no more than 14 players and provided with the team shirt (all teams wear black shorts and socks which players provide). In this age group teams play 11-a-side football for the first time on appropriately sized pitches and with 16ft x 7ft goals. Every player (when available) will play at least a half of every game and managers will rotate subs so all squad members get equal game time throughout the

season.

Managers and coaches will hold training sessions on Saturday mornings (before or after the teams match).

​

Every team will play in the same location each week – 9.30am or 10.45am kick-off times.

 

With their allocated team they will play two 10-game league seasons each year, and a cup competition each season.

​​

Each league match will have two 30 minute halves with a few minutes break in between for refreshment and motivation!

​

​At the end of season 2, players will be invited to attend an awards evening where each player will receive a trophy.

​

​Selsdon Little League really is a fantastic way for kids and parents to make new friends and have fun and players to progress as footballers.

 

Everyone who joins is actively encouraged to get involved - whether as a player, a spectator (cheering on your team) or even becoming a manager!
